Alan Wheeler is CEO of the UK Textile Recycling Association and General Secretary of the Bureau of International Recycling’s Textiles Division. He also serves on the Textiles Board of the European Recycling Industries Confederation (EuRIC). With 30 years’ expe-rience in the recycling sector, Alan has played a leading role in shaping UK and EU poli-cy on textile reuse and recycling. He recently chaired a session at the global conven-tion of SMART—the North American trade association for the textile recycling industry—and continues to work with stakeholders across the globe to advance a truly sustaina-ble and circular textiles economy.
