Lee is CEO of the Cast Metals Federation and has a long career in membership organisations and the waste sector after graduating with an Environmental Technology degree. He started in local government, working for three English councils and one Welsh unitary authority. In addition, Lee has worked in the private sector with a large waste company and a multi-national waste consultancy. He was Chair of LARAC for four years and subsequently its Chief Executive Officer for seven years, after which he was the Director of Policy and External Affairs at the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management. He has sat on various UK and Welsh Government advisory boards and was a non-executive director of OPRL Ltd for ten years. He has a Masters degree in Public Administration and is a Fellow of the CIWM.
