Dr Jane Beasley is a professionally qualified waste and resource manager and for the past 20 years has worked on a wide range of strategic and research projects and has provided legislation and policy support at local, regional, national and European level.
As the Director of Beasley Associates Ltd, a waste and resource management consultancy, Jane works directly with local government, national and regional organisations and the private sector and is experienced in a wide range of issues including: partnership development and joint working; identification and delivery of efficiency savings; resource management research and circular strategies; policy development and strategic waste management; options appraisals; stakeholder engagement; and, communications.
Jane has been an Associate of Local Partnerships (a Treasury and LGA funded organisation) since 2011, providing support to local authorities on a wide range of issues, including: partnership working; efficiency appraisals; business case development and regional reviews. She has previously worked for CIWM and was seconded for a year to the Cabinet Office to provide specialist waste advice. Before that she worked in academia and has a PhD in waste management. Jane was also a Visiting Professor at the University of Northampton 2004 – 2007, specialising in waste management strategy and policy.
Jane is a regular judge of the National Recycling Awards and the Rushlight Awards, and is an experienced Chair and Facilitator.
Jane is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, a Fellow of the Chartered Intuition of Waste Manager, and is recipient of the CIWM James Jackson Award.
