Waste Reduction Award - Commercial sector - National Recycling Awards
Who should enter: Any UK or Republic of Ireland-based commercial organisation.
About the award: This award recognises those who have successfully put in place an effective programme that has significantly reduced the resources used or the amount of waste produced. For example, this could be through redesigning products or processes, through reuse or enabling reuse by others or through behavioural change. It should be clear how the entry goes beyond recycling, in terms of the waste hierarchy.
What the judges will look for: Evidence of a well planned and executed programme that has significantly reduced waste. The winner be an example for others in how waste reduction can be achieved and the wider financial and environmental benefits of putting in place such a programme. Novel approaches will be rewarded.
